"These were not your typical fru-fru Cinderella style gowns"..
Straight from the runway at Vancouver Fashion week, Canadian designer Adele Wechsler's Fall/Winter Eco Couture Collection was unveiled. Friday March 27th we were invited to view Adele's collection and it was simply stunning.

These were not your typical fru-fru Cinderella style gowns, they were elegant and a breath a fresh air. The silhouettes were romantic and had beautiful necklines that would flatter any bride. Adele showed boat necks, strapless, sweetheart, and v-necklines. The veils most made from silk organza, flowed behind each model. Layers of vegetable dyed silk and silk organza, hand cut into shapes or appliqué added to a selection of the dresses created texture and detailed beautifully.
Adele Wechsler is a remarkable designer, one that is proud to be eco conscious and and a pioneer in Eco Couture.

The components that qualify this collection as truly eco-friendly are:
"I think it is essential for each of us to try and make individual efforts on this earth, no matter how small, in order make an overall difference. For me it is not just about designing another gown and a new collection, it is about designing gowns with heart and soul. For an Adele Wechsler bride it is not just about the dress, it is about finding a dress that "speaks" to who you are as a woman. A gown that enhances your personality and inner beauty and says something about who you are as a human being.
It is an honour and a privilege to play a role in a woman's special day, we have a responsibility to provide a positive and seamless experience and with Eco Couture, we have the chance to show we care and leave a positive footprint on this planet."
